Relationspot was founded as a social impact enterprise with the belief that you should be able to do good in the world in the context of a self-sustaining organization that can support growth and be replicated. We built the foundation for our organization over the past couple of years, starting with a successful speed-friending event. We quickly pivoted to online Zoom get-togethers, and connected with a growing number of participants through a Facebook group. We launched weekly Saturday in-person activities and dinners to complement our weekly Friday evening online socials.
With an established community of over 350 Facebook users and dozens of regular online and in-person participants, we officialy launched Relationspot in April 2024 with a membership model designed to provide a sustainable platform for expansion and growth. During this exciting period, we are looking for donors in support of Relationspot, to help us serve more individuals and move beyond New York City to offer in-person programming for more communities in the tri-state area. Specifically, we are looking for donors to help us with the following priority services and programs:
- Supplementing the cost of events so they can be at a lower price to our members. These funds will go towards paying our coaches, the venue and associated expenses.
- Promoting Relationspot and expanding awareness to increase our membership through:
- Social media
- Focused outreach into the community/organizations
- Expanding our grass roots strategy
- Launching our Member Ambassador program
- Developing synergistic relationships enhancing member’s opportunities and experiences
- Hiring additional coaches to enhance our offerings, programming, and events for our members. It will also enable us to increase the number of monthly in-person events.
- Expanding The Empower Hour Community Classes to twice a month. Taught by our coaches, these classes focus on member-driven topics like boundaries, body language, social media etiquette, safety, and more.
- Prepare and establish the foundation to launch our one-on-one matchmaking services in 2025
- Our members have been begging for this service. Let’s work together to make it a reality!
We are thrilled to be able to accept donations of any amount, in support of Relationspot, through our fiscal sponsor, Realize Impact. Realize Impact is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that facilitates impact investing with philanthropic funds. It works to funnel philanthropic dollars to impactful companies working on solutions to the climate crisis, racial, economic, and social injustice, and other issues. It does this through philanthropic investment grants, fiscal sponsorship of impactful for-profits, and partnerships with other organizations, such as Relationspot that have a charitable impact and serve an inclusive, neurodivergent community of all abilities.
